Randa Fouad serves as Program Consultant for the Gabr Fellowship. As President of Arab Media Forum for Environment & Development, a writer and a journalist, Randa has over 20 years of national, regional, and global experience in the field of Sustainable Development, Awareness Raising, and Communication through developing and managing the implementation of information dissemination strategies, organizing policy consultations, and mobilizing the mass media around development issues. She has managed the regional information component of the UNDP-funded Urban Management Programme (UMP), one of the largest global technical assistance programs in the urban sector. As the Development Communication Advisor to Egypt's Minister of State for Environmental Affairs, she helped in establishing a development communication unit and assisted in designing the Ministry's National Environmental Information Program in support of Egypt's National Environmental Action Plan. Randa was the force behind the establishment of media NGOs in the Arab world; spearheaded the establishment of a regional media forum linking these NGOs, the Arab Media Forum for Environment and Development (AMFED); and played a lead role in linking the forum to global media networks.
