President, Arab Media Forum for Environment & DevelopmentRanda Fouad serves as Program Consultant for the Gabr Fellowship. As President of Arab Media Forum for Environment & Development, a writer and a journalist, Randa has over 20 years of national, regional, and global experience in the field of Sustainable Development, Awareness Raising, and Communication through developing and managing the implementation of information dissemination strategies, organizing policy consultations, and mobilizing the mass media around development issues. She has managed the regional information component of the UNDP-funded Urban Management Programme (UMP), one of the largest global technical assistance programs in the urban sector. As the Development Communication Advisor to Egypt's Minister of State for Environmental Affairs, she helped in establishing a development communication unit and assisted in designing the Ministry's National Environmental Information Program in support of Egypt's National Environmental Action Plan. Randa was the force behind the establishment of media NGOs in the Arab world; spearheaded the establishment of a regional media forum linking these NGOs, the Arab Media Forum for Environment and Development (AMFED); and played a lead role in linking the forum to global media networks.3rd February 2016

3D Artist, OpantishAhmed El Habibi is an Egyptian artist who currently practices his trade as a freelancer in the world of 3D modeling. After obtaining his bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the El Shorouk Academy in Egypt, Ahmed spent three years as a reserve officer in the Egyptian Military. While in the army, Ahmed improved his skills in digital painting and 3D modeling. Ahmed is also an avid comic book reader and has begun work on his own comic book series, "The Wings of Thebes". She was also a corporate coach assistant and a business development at an international teambuilding company where she attended, facilitated and has done assessments for high profile clients in Egypt, in addition to conducting personality profiling programs, and participated in programs for setting mission, vision and values for multinational corporate teams. Mohga is an active volunteer in an NPO where she aims to spread the awareness and fund raising of a project that works on installing water supplies in poor Egyptian villages. Alex Goldmark
Senior Producer, WNYC - New York Public RadioAlex Goldmark is a journalist and public radio producer covering social enterprise, technology, sustainability, transportation and noteworthy whimsy. His work has appeared across the public radio spectrum on shows including: NPR’s Morning Edition, On The Media, APM’s Marketplace, the BBC World Service as well as WNYC - New York Public Radio where he is a Senior Producer in the newsroom. Among his duties at WNYC is editing the Transportation Nation reporting project, a partnership with several public radio stations to cover the social and environmental impacts of transportation and infrastructure policies. Alex is also a Visiting Assistant Professor at the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism and a co- founder of Longshot Radio, an experiment in technology and collaborative storytelling. Previously, he helped launch two national political talk radio programs for the erstwhile Air America Radio Network. Before that adventure, he served as a researcher and consultant for the World Bank and the Aspen Institute, studied (and tried to end) poverty and violence in the favelas of Rio de Janeiro and earned a Master’s degree in Public Policy from Georgetown. ASPH/CDC Global Health Fellow – Global Program Management, CDC-ZambiaHaroun is a leader with a passion for global health, social entrepreneurship, social justice issues and fostering coalitions that empower others to improve their lives. He is currently an ASPH/CDC Allan Rosenfield Global Health Fellow with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Zambia, where he is focusing on Global Program Management. Prior to joining CDC-Zambia, Haroun worked as a Policy Support Officer at the Office of the U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator at the U.S. Department of State and a Communications Specialist for an international development consulting company and as an Analyst at a state public health nonprofit organization. He earned an MPH with a concentration in international health from the Boston University School of Public Health in 2007, and he received a BS in health policy and administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. As a public health professional, he has experience in a diverse range of health policy issues on the local, state, national, and global level, from HIV/AIDS, to health disparities and minority health, to injury prevention and control, to refugee health and human rights. Senior Vice President of Strategic Development, Microclinic InternationalLeslie Lang is the Senior Vice President of Strategic Development at Microclinic International (MCI), a global health non-profit that addresses chronic disease and health behavior change. Leslie oversees MCI's strategic development by identifying new partnerships and strategic opportunities. She also assists with MCI's program management and policy initiatives. Prior to joining MCI, Leslie worked for the law firm Sullivan & Cromwell and the World Bank. Morgan Williams
Co-Founder & President/CEO, Biochar Solutions, Inc.Morgan Williams is a current member of The Environmental Systems Dynamics Laboratory at the University of California at Berkeley where he is a Chancellors Fellow pursuing a PhD in Anthropedometrics; the quantitative analysis of human processes that lead to the creation or destruction of soils and the ecosystem functions they provide. Prior to joining Berkeley, Morgan co-founded Biochar Solutions Inc, where he developed technologies that convert sequestered carbon from the atmosphere into soil products for land restoration. In this role, he was recognized by Sir Richard Branson as 1 of 11 Global Pioneers in The Virgin Earth Challenge, a $25M science prize to sustainably remove a gigaton of carbon from the air in the effort to reverse climate change. Morgan has presented his work at professional and scientific conferences in five countries, and believes that international collaboration in ecological and atmospheric restoration can serve to strengthen solidarity between environmental and social justice movements. Bessie (Bes) Young
Mitchell Scholar, University of Ulster Belfast, School of Art & DesignBessie Young is currently studying for her MFA in Photography at the University of Ulster Belfast as a Mitchell Scholar. Her driving passion is for aging and using the visual arts as a way to document, understand, and advocate on behalf of the elderly in a cross-cultural context. From 2011-2012, Bessie lived as a Henry Luce Scholar in Nishinomiya, Japan, photographing group homes for elderly Japanese living with Alzheimer's and dementia. This work was a continuation of her honors thesis at Amherst College for which she photographed senior living facilities in Turkey, France and the United States and received summa cum laude honors.
