Co-Founder & President/CEO, Biochar Solutions, Inc.
Morgan Williams is a current member of The Environmental Systems Dynamics Laboratory at the University of California at Berkeley where he is a Chancellors Fellow pursuing a PhD in Anthropedometrics; the quantitative analysis of human processes that lead to the creation or destruction of soils and the ecosystem functions they provide. Prior to joining Berkeley, Morgan co-founded Biochar Solutions Inc, where he developed technologies that convert sequestered carbon from the atmosphere into soil products for land restoration. In this role, he was recognized by Sir Richard Branson as 1 of 11 Global Pioneers in The Virgin Earth Challenge, a $25M science prize to sustainably remove a gigaton of carbon from the air in the effort to reverse climate change. Morgan has presented his work at professional and scientific conferences in five countries, and believes that international collaboration in ecological and atmospheric restoration can serve to strengthen solidarity between environmental and social justice movements. He is originally from Carbondale, Colorado.
